For brands and partners

Whop: payouts and invoices

ViralPayouts pays partners through Whop: a partner connects a Whop payout account once, and each payout is a transfer to it. Brands can pay their invoices online through Whop, or by bank transfer. ViralPayouts does not read sales from Whop; if you sell on Whop, report sales with the event API.

For partners: connect a payout account

  1. Sign in to the portal with a link emailed to you. A session opened with a program's personal link cannot connect a payout account.
  2. Choose Connect your payout account. Whop checks your identity and holds your bank details. ViralPayouts never sees them.
  3. Once Whop says your account can receive payouts, your payouts go to it automatically.

You pay Whop's fee when you withdraw from Whop to your bank. ViralPayouts does not add a fee to your earnings.

Currencies

Whop payouts are switched on for a list of currencies (US dollars by default). A program in another currency is never paid through Whop: each payout is listed for the brand to pay by bank transfer, with a note saying why.

For brands: paying invoices

Brands are invoiced on the 1st and 16th; partners are paid as soon as the brand pays, at the latest on the 13th or 28th. An invoice can be paid online through Whop (bank debit, for US dollar programs) or by bank transfer quoting the invoice number. Partners are paid as soon as your payment can be sent on: the same day for a bank transfer, or when Whop releases a bank debit, which takes a few business days.

How payout status stays true

Whop tells ViralPayouts when a transfer or a payout account changes. That message is only a prompt: the transfer or account is then read back from Whop's API before anything is recorded, so a payout is marked paid or failed only on Whop's own answer.
