Payout threshold
A payout threshold is the smallest balance an affiliate must reach before they are paid. Anything below it carries forward to the next payout.
Also called: minimum payout, minimum balance, payment threshold.
Worked example: A $10 minimum
- Balance this cycle
- $7.50: carried forward
- Earned next cycle
- $6.50
- Paid next cycle
- $14.00
In more detail
It keeps transfer fees from eating tiny payments. Set too high, it keeps small affiliates waiting for months.
How ViralPayouts handles it
Programs choose $10 to $100 ($10 by default). A change to the minimum needs 3 business days’ notice.
